Starter Relay
The starter relay ensures that your scooter can start electrically. When functioning properly, you typically hear a "click," indicating that the circuit is being activated.
Voltage Regulator
The voltage regulator ensures that the generated voltage is usable for the electrical components of your scooter. This happens independently of the engine speed, ensuring the correct voltage is being charged.
Contact Point
The contact point is part of the ignition system via the contact point system, also known as the breaker. The contact points are pressed together by a spring when at rest. The electrical current that flows through them is interrupted when the contacts are mechanically pulled apart. This switches the primary current to the coil on and off at regular intervals. When the piston reaches its top dead center and the combustible mixture needs to be ignited, the current is interrupted. This creates a voltage pulse through self-induction, which is opposite to the current that was interrupted.
