The reed valve ensures that the fuel-air mixture flows into the cylinder but doesn’t flow back. It’s crucial that after the explosions in the cylinder, the exploded mixture doesn’t flow backward. It needs to go out!
The intake manifold serves to attach the carburetor and guide the mixture to the reed valve. The reed valve is equipped with reed petals.
